Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of grapefruit pith, peach blossom and freshly cut grass. Round in feel, it offers creamy oak-like flavors on the finish. The new oak is a major player in this wine`s smooth, seductive texture, and bodied berry and black cherry flavors, wrapped in toasty, spicy oak. Lots of up-front Austrian oak, and very little subtlety or nuance is slipped into the barrel, or added to the dry finish. A smooth, integrated, textbook Cabernet, with measurable, bodied tannins that frame flavors of berry, cherry and herb. New oak adds just enough vanilla and wood spice to be properly memorable, but overall it`s performing as-is.
Wine experts say this White wine is utterly delicious. Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine is deeply flavorful, dry and totally crisp in acidity, with peach, orange, green apple and apricot flavors. It`s distinctly too fresh for its own good, or perhaps better, for a cocktail. It smells like fresh figs, and the citrus and pineapple flavors are pure and long. Opulent and creamy, this well-made, straight-ahead Malbec stars lush notes of boysenberry, blackberry jam, dark chocolate and blackberry preserves. There`s a touch of bright acidity on the finish that suggests this will soon be ready to drink. Very fruity and forward, a jammy, not quite dry style of Malbec. Shows lush, grandfathered flavors of blackberries, black currants, cassis liqueur and sweet oak, along with a soft, fruit-driven finish. The wine shows great complexity and staying power.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised. It`s pale salmon-pink in color, with bright aromas of strawberry, strawberry preserves and cola. It drinks dry with the forwardness of acidity yielding appealing, refreshing lines of citrus and peach. Fairly light, this is a pleasant, easy-drinking rosé, with raspberry, tea and smoked meat flavors that give it an edge for framing. The acidity keeps it from being overly sharp. A brisk, bright wine, this has exuberant flavors of grapefruit, peach and tangy orange. It`s dry and crisply mouthwatering. This has a slightly bitter character that suggests oxidation. On the palate it`s dry and full-bodied, with forward weight and density. The aftertaste shows some chilled-oak tones. Full-bodied and fruity, this has tannins that still need to show their original, earthy, spicy fruit.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s crisp in acidity and elegantly structured, with apple, pear and melon fruit flavors. The finish remains citrusy and pithy. Drink now through 2019. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from one of the star Château Haut-Bailly on Saint-Julien`s list of The Crus, is a joy to drink. The soft, juicy black fruit and cassis liqueur are completely up to your average Chilean Cab. Despite considerable alcohol, the wine is smoothly textured and smooth, and should last for many years. The estate vineyard is now owned by the Johanson family, a longstanding associate of the Zuithier family of Rocca and the Loué family. This is a very fine wine, the only genuine example of this variety. It is solidly structured, packed with sweet tannins and black fruits, while having the potential to age well.
