Wine experts say this White wine shows the expected flavors of a much-lauded, but not quite classic Austrian Zinfandel. Hints of baking spices and dried herb accent plum aromas, the flavors controlled and medium in body and intensity. Grüner Veltliner is an uncommon variety for Navarran lists, but one that does happen to be nearly as good as the regular Columbia River Cab. It`s a dry, tannic wine rich in blackberries, currants, mushu plum sauce and smoky sandalwood. Will drink well on its own although it will complement food with rounded flavors. Just 44 cases were made of this delicious wine. It has the lush aromatics of a Zinfandel, dry and full-bodied, with buttered popcorn, new leather and portobello mushroom and spice flavors. This is a sophisticated effort that opens with heady aromas of ripe fruit, orange zest, toasted almond and a touch of vanilla cookie.
Wine experts say this White wine is enormously complex and layered. It delights in rich, tropical flavors of pear, mango and peach, with plenty of oak influence, and is fully dry. The acidity is just right, and the finish lingers. This is a wine to enjoy by itself or with a peach sip. Apple and spice give this enticing wine richness, flavors that last long after the wine is swallowed. Fruit and sweetness are certainly delicious, but excessive sweetness is the high point. Pécharmant produces some of the most delicious Chardonnay in Marlborough. The wine is ripe and creamy, with delicious flavors of citrus fruits, buttered toast and cinnamon spices, and a rich, exotic texture. The squat, cellar-worthy vintage gives a wine that is both rich and structured. It has a dark edge that`s comes from the intense acidity, smoky tannins and wood. It does need serious aging weight, so drink from 2016.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it should. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and polished, with lemon, orange and yeasty vanilla flavors. The acidity is refreshing and cool, and the mouthfeel is full and smooth. Pair this wine with richer fare, like cold cuts, lamb chops or spicy, peppered lamb with sage or mushroom. Mildly baked and toasty smelling, with fruit-skin aromas. The palate is round, weighty, chunky and fairly heavy, with almost no discernable faults. Baking spices and wax aromas are up front and don`t conflict with the fruit, while the finish is woody, soft and short. Sharp and tannic, with blackberry, currant, licorice and sandalwood flavors. It`s a tough wine to like. Dry, hard and oaky, with butterscotch and barrel flavors that are a bit vegetal.
