Wine experts say this White wine shows the qualities of Oregon Pinot Gris, a style of the same grape that often hails from the Loire valley. Smoky, peppery and soft, the acids and tannins are very pleasing. The focus is on the fruit, which promises some eucalyptus among the fruit. Very dry, very citrusy, almost crystalline in its texture, this Viognier shows the aromatic exuberance of an excellent vineyard site. The finish has similar elegance, but it`s a little warmer. Doesn`t have quite the full body of a Gewürztraminer, but there`s plenty of floral and fruity pleasure here. The palate is round and soft, with pleasantly candied orange and apricot flavors. Mild for the price. Delicious and crisp, a lively wine, with lively acidity and a peppery edge.
