Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it should. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and polished, with lemon, orange and yeasty vanilla flavors. The acidity is refreshing and cool, and the mouthfeel is full and smooth. Pair this wine with richer fare, like cold cuts, lamb chops or spicy, peppered lamb with sage or mushroom. Mildly baked and toasty smelling, with fruit-skin aromas. The palate is round, weighty, chunky and fairly heavy, with almost no discernable faults. Baking spices and wax aromas are up front and don`t conflict with the fruit, while the finish is woody, soft and short. Sharp and tannic, with blackberry, currant, licorice and sandalwood flavors. It`s a tough wine to like. Dry, hard and oaky, with butterscotch and barrel flavors that are a bit vegetal.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and ripe pear. But the flavors live up to those expectations, with refreshing acidity that`s rounded out by a splash of lanolin. Light and fresh, this nonvintage wine is full of lively acidity and is fully dry. The aftertaste is very fresh and crisp. A very herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc, lean and green but also fruity and lively. It`s a wine that fits the local name, with the addition of Sémillon giving sweetness. This is an interesting and tastefully made wine that lacks the elegance often found in top Santa Rita Hills Pinots. The `09 is off-dry and clean, with bright acids and silky tannins. You find some peppery notes here, but the wine wants until sometime in 2014 or 2015 to soften.
