Wine experts say this White wine shows the kind of peppery, leafy, briary flavors that a good Cabernet Franc would. The fruit is young and almost raspingly dry, but there`s an excellent peppery element to the tannins, plus oodles of mushrooms and herbs. The finish is very dry and crisp. Very dry, but very acidic, giving the wine a sharp, nervy edge. But the fruit is there, offering raspberries and cherries, with a starring edge of green tea. Yet there`s an excellent citrus backbone. If there`s a criticism, it`s excessive softness. But it`s very rich, and fully dry. The acids are fine. Pretty fragrances recall white spring flowers and white fruit. The bright palate offers yellow spring flowers and a hint of citrus alongside racy acidity. But it finishes abruptly due to a rounding green note. High alcohol gives this 100% Syrah a raisin and fig fragrance.
