Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised. It`s dry and crisp in acidity, with pleasant citrus, gooseberry and spice flavors. But the variety is hard to find, and there`s a vegetal edge to the flavors. Overall, it`s fairly good but bland. Soft and sugary, with raspberry and cherry jam, white sugar and oak flavors. The texture is chunky, but not too heavy or cloying. Seems not the best Shellfish to hit for so early. Still, it`s a pretty good Chard, not the least bit dishing. Cranberry, licorice, rhubarb, vanilla and toasted notes greet the nose on this wine from the Adelaida district. The mouthfeel is fresh and vibrant, with good tension and fresh flavors of strawberry, raspberry and spice. Smooth enough and natural, but with an herbal component. Crisp, pear fruit mingles with just a modicum of yeast on the nose.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s gorgeously styled, but is not lacking in elegance or finesse, with an inky, black-fruit nose that`s set against soft, fine-grained tannins. Flavorwise, the flavors of creamy oak, tart acidity and crushed white pepper complement the rich grapes of Bordeaux, while the vanilla accent is just as pronounced as the wine`s massive oakiness throws it off balance. The charming nose gives glimpses of unctuousness, and the refreshing, delicately perfumed palate shows surprising freshness. But there is also firm, dry tannins that lie under the rich cherry and red berry flavors and which guarantee aging. Drink from 2015. Powerful, ripe fruit, packed with juicy berries, fruit, acidity and a structure that demands aging. Drink from 2016.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers just what consumers love about New World Zoncluse. It`s dry, stony and crisp, with tantalizingly high acidity, but offers all the fancy structure you need for aging around a warming meal. The citrus, stone fruit, melon and peach flavors are rich, but dry. A lovely wine to drink now and over the next few years. Rich and velvety, it has just the right blend of red fruit and New World Cabernet. The right elements, of course, but the right structure. Not a Zin for everyone, but a selection to match most definitely on the barbecue. Just what you want Marlborough Sauvignon to be. It`s bone dry and scented with citrus and exotic fruit notes, with a very subtle, subtly flavored, dry finish. There`s a minerality that suggests sandalwood, chopped herbs and a hint of iodine. Drink now–2013.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with plenty of forward fruit and some oak influence to the tannins. You`ll also recognize aromas of fudge, red cherry and prune. It`s fresh and forward, but there`s enough buttery influence that it almost finishes it off. Faintly nutty notes of toasted almond contrast spicy lemon and almond paste notes in this semi-sweet Riesling. Dry on the palate, with fruit flavors of green apple and pineapple, it`s pleasant for a basic white wine, but comes with a veneer of elegance. Light, fresh and fruity, this is an attractive, immediately drinkable wine. It has lively acidity, a tangy orange-zest texture and fine, intensely perfumed acidity. Screwcap.
