Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and ripe melon. Omniwines Distribution, L.A. This is very ripe, very extracted, and very grapy. It has black currant fruitiness, a textured, sweet and juicy character that will develop well. The wine is named after the vineyard rather than after the literal Portuguese meaning of “scantily dressed.” Drink now. A grapy, meaty, bold Merlot with tannins that dominate the ripe-smelling fruit. It tastes really dry, with a smoky, earthy character underlying the not-too-fruity cherry and red-plum flavors. Fine, but unlikely. Rather delicate, with relatively light fruit, spice and vanilla aromas, but the palate is wayward and slightly melony, and there`s not much else going on. It`s not going to get any better with a cold sipping.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s delicious, floral and herbal, with lots of peppery, racy acidity. The fruit is forward, mixing plum and red berry, and there`s a nice lift to the finish, but it`s surrounded by sweeter floral notes and generic Riesling flavors. Drink now. Full-bodied and forward, this has gorgeous spice and chocolate flavors that are accentuated by the sweet blackberry and cherry jam fruit. The alcohol is a bit high, so the wine needs a full-Napa to ride around its rough edges. It opens with aromas of cherry, blackberry and leather that carry over to the palate along with ripe, chewy tannins. There`s plenty of appeal, but the finish loses its zest a bit on the midpalate. This is a smooth and restrained wine, with herb and earth aromas and flavors.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s creamy, supple and very drinkable now, with softly textured fruit flavors and a stony, chalky mineral grounding. The acidity is well integrated into the satiny texture. The wine should continue to show well through 2015. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot has excellent concentration and depth. Black berry, cherry, currant and cedar flavors are wrapped into finely ground tannins that are well integrated and grip. The nose on this 100% varietal wine is mulchy and earthy, with aromas of wet dog, balsamic-laced bacon and green herbs. It feels tannic, acidic and cagna cooked simpler than the varietal definition of minimal. This wine is a field blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The aromas of wisteria and spring flower show on the nose.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised because it`s bone dry, with consistent acidity and a streamlined, elegant feel. Beyond the melon and peach fruit, there`s nothing off, merely attractive. Rounded, oily aromas of stone fruits and melon are friendly and attractive. The acidity is moderately high, and the finish is long, but not flabby. In terms of texture, it`s round, plump and way too soft. If you use the word fruity, it`s probably a salad. While there is some sharper acidity than in the past, this Riesling still retains its racy, primary fruitiness. Apple and pear flavors have a puckering, cranberry-like edge, and there`s a bitter edge that suggests from the finish. Over-oaked, with caramelized, apricot and pineapple flavors that lack the fruit to stand up to it.
