Beyond the melon and peach fruit, there`s nothing off, merely attractive. Rounded, oily aromas of stone fruits and melon are friendly and attractive. The acidity is moderately high, and the finish is long, but not flabby. In terms of texture, it`s round, plump and way too soft. If you use the word fruity, it`s probably a salad. While there is some sharper acidity than in the past, this Riesling still retains its racy, primary fruitiness. Apple and pear flavors have a puckering, cranberry-like edge, and there`s a bitter edge that suggests from the finish. Over-oaked, with caramelized, apricot and pineapple flavors that lack the fruit to stand up to it.
