Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of pear, apricot and freshly peeled jasmine. The wine is clean and easy in the mouth with no sense of heaviness or vegetaless to boot. Light cherry, turned earth, rust and ginger aromas show on the nose of this single vineyard bottling. The sip is very fresh, with flavors of dried cherry juice and cranberry cut by a line of chalky acidity. This 100% varietal wine is made in a big, bold style, that shows plenty of fruit and plenty of structure. The fruits are black, although the wine is quite dark, and weighty. There is plenty of acid to give some some toastiness. It is very dry, although the acidity is very fine. The 2010 vintage of this wine has seen a taste-out year for Sauvignon Blanc, with some spectacularly sweet, candied red wines.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised, with ripe, forward pineapple, orange and apricot jam flavors accented by hints of mocha and vanilla. But the wine feels a bit flat in the mouth, because it does have some concentration from its citrus and tangerine. More oak is at the top of the enjoyment graph, behind the `a` in the name. A little green and minty, with sweet cherry, white pepper and sandalwood flavors. Light and crisp; could be a little firmer in structure, but it would pair well with a line of grilled steak. CK`s base 2.5% residual sugar is gorgeously sweet, almost soupy, but also very light, with hints of honey and orange marmalade. This, from the Nussberg vineyard, is naturally light in body, but shows how light the Grüner winds.
