Wine experts say this White wine shows the qualities of Oregon Pinot No 1. Dry, citrusy and citrusy, with an earthy streak of grapefruits. Delicious now, and will be better in 2015. Very ripe in fruits, intense in Meyer lemon tart, with full minerality, very dry, with light sweet jelly fruit. The wine shows great acidity and intense flavors of raspberries and pears. Powerful wine, tannic, needs aging. Needs toast and plenty of ripe black fruits to bring out the best of the Cabernet region. It`s smooth, oak-driven, rich in jammy red and black berry flavors, and the tannins are firm. Doesn`t seem to be a wine for the picking, but it`s the sort of dense, dry complexity that makes a good, all-purpose wine.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s luminous and inviting on the nose with notions of fresh green apple and white peach blossom mingled with peppery herbals and a pleasantly rustic minerality. The palate is intense with guava flavors and lime zest tangles, but complex and quite long. Lovely now, but likely to intensify well into the 2020`s. Very co-fermented, with 8% Viognier and 6% Roussanne. On the nose, luscious white peach and shaved citrus aromas make for a fruity nose. The palate shows zesty freshness, with a citrus-driven cut. Medium bodied, it`s a straightforward, nicely made wine with verve and energy. Powerful, potent aromas of cherry and cassis mark this memorable dry Riesling. There`s a bit of gamy gamy food element to the nose, along with cinnamon, cranberry and nutmeg.
Wine experts say this White wine shows the promise of Lake County`s reds. The flavors are bright and forward in apricots, tangerines, pears, but just a hint of smoky oak. Complex and addictively drinkable now. A gorgeous Cabernet, which opens up with aromas of black currants, cassis and new oak. But the flavors are deeply concentrated, suggesting equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with a lick of toast showing through through through the rest. The texture is luxurious, but the tannins are average and the finish is long, suggestive of a good few years in the cellar. Light and pretty, this dry Chardonnay boasts a pretty, luminous color. The aromas are delicate but expressive, including delicate eucalyptus, peach and light woody aromas.
