Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and flowers. It`s dry, fresh and tonic in feel, with loads of peach, melon and citrus flavors. A bit hard and gritty, with some bitter, hot shock and flavors of jammy blackberry and cassis. It`s also pretty sweet, and not showing much herbal or vegetal character. Part of Pritchard`s regular ranges, the `06 Cabs are a mix of foods from every county, mostly grown in high mountain vineyards. This well-made, pure bottling offers notes of raspberries, red licorice and English breakfast tea, with fine bubbles. Sharp and medicinal, with the taste of sharp cayenne pepper, with a cloud in the glass. The flavors are of raspberry and wet stone, with a sharpness to the finish and some bitter tannins. Quite good, but slightly one-dimensional.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and flowers. It`s medium bodied with oily, textured feeling white wine. A great value for a blush wine. Melon, peach and a dash of apricot aromas might be too much for some folks, but the flavors are all very nice, very rounded and just a little on the sweet side. But more than that, it`s a fine wine for everyday drinking. This selection is from the winery`s excellent 2011 Viognier, which was released a year ago. It shows amazing varietal character in the finely ground minerals and rich, complex flavors of blackberries and currants that still need time to integrate. They are tailing off at the moment toward some of the aged tannin. Give this lovely wine until 2018 to begin to come around. This is a unique wine that gives a good peek into the sometimes volatile better side of Amarone.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and tantalizingly fruity, with ripe gooseberry, pear, green tea and orange flavors. For those who relish slightly watery, uncomplicated drinking. Try as an interesting alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Viognier. Gorgeous red berry and fresh herb aromas waft from the glass. The palate is bright and easy, with creamy strawberry, red cherry, fresh raspberry and just enough vanilla. It`s simple and fresh, but refreshing and certainly lives up to the vinification mantra. Drink now. This wine is soft, sweet and simple. It has too much citrus, so lets spice it up with some more oak. Fresh finish leaves an green aftertaste. There are some odd hints of green pea in the nose, and on the palate, a core of citrus—nectarine, apricot and yellow apple—is presented with bright acidity.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised with its promise of plenty in acidity and a broad, slightly phenolic texture. However, there is also an edge of flint at the start, and that may be masked by the wine`s fuller-bodied quality. Finishes a bit short, but with crisp apple flavors. A good Pinot Noir for everyday drinking. It`s dry and crisp and decently rich in raspberry, cherry, bacon and spicy sandalwood flavors, with a Port-like sweetness. The tolerable alcohol is a pleasure to drink, but there`s something sharp and pithy about it that makes it pleasant. Hints of smoky vanilla and spice hovers over the ripe fruit. The wine is crisp and refreshing, but the finish has a certain bitterness. Drink up. This is a bit more confected and immediately approachable than some of the cave cooperative`s other cuvées, but it remains a well made, very drinkable rosé.
Wine experts say this White wine shows the best qualities of its vintage. There`s plenty of acidity, with lemon and lime flavors, while the finish, as it were, offers just enough sweetness to keep it from being a cloying wine endnotewise. Ripe, extracted black fruit aromas take care of a dusty, detailed medicinal note and segway into astringent tannins. A big, fruity palate, along with big, ripe but not tannic flavors, endures as it does; as it starts to fade, glide along this drink through 2021. With its new-wood flavors and sweet, ripe fruit, this is a beautiful wine. The wood comes through strongly, showing spice as well as rich fruit. It has that great, young blackberry flavors that are sustained by the tannins. This is a wine for aging; drink from 2018.
