Wine experts say this White wine presents itself as relatively straightforward, with refreshing notes of apple, dried currant and melon. It`s light bodied and refreshing, with a mouthwatering backbone of acidity. Spice and cream dominate this 100% Sauvignon Blanc, but there is plenty of ripe fruit also. The fruit has a touch of herbaceousness, some green pepper and some red-fruit flavor. The texture is smooth, very full bodied and easy to drink. Honey and almond notes provide a fruit-driven contrast to the crisp, grapefruity flavors. This is a wine that is lightly styled, but definitely refreshing. This wine is a blend of Grenache (50%), Cinsault (40%) and Counoise. The Grenache (40%) is immediately at the forefront of the wine, aromas and flavors giving a sense of a tense structure.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s creamy and forward in kiwi, peach and pineapple fruit, with plenty of sweet, toasted oak. Lots of new French oak adds even richer notes of vanilla and buttered toast. The fruit is riper than the `04, meaning it`s showing its best, and judging by the finish, this is one of the best 2011`s ever. It starts with aromas of fresh summer flowers, white peach and green apples with an alluringly floral tone. The slender, light-bodied palate offers juicy green melon, apple and a hint of lemon zest alongside bright acidity. The grapes for this old-vine wine come from eastern Washington, but the question is whether they willane orurgically combine. The fruit is soft in black cherry, but with soapy notes of rose petals and orange peel. The tannins are rugged, almost rustic, but they`re soft enough to drink now.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and flowers. It`s dry, fresh and tonic in feel, with loads of peach, melon and citrus flavors. A bit hard and gritty, with some bitter, hot shock and flavors of jammy blackberry and cassis. It`s also pretty sweet, and not showing much herbal or vegetal character. Part of Pritchard`s regular ranges, the `06 Cabs are a mix of foods from every county, mostly grown in high mountain vineyards. This well-made, pure bottling offers notes of raspberries, red licorice and English breakfast tea, with fine bubbles. Sharp and medicinal, with the taste of sharp cayenne pepper, with a cloud in the glass. The flavors are of raspberry and wet stone, with a sharpness to the finish and some bitter tannins. Quite good, but slightly one-dimensional.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and ripe peach. Omniwines Distribution, L.A. This is very pink, very fresh, with very light fruit, accompanied by an elegant, peppery edge. It`s a wine that is almost ready to drink, but it will be better in 2015. Melon, peach and a touch of vanilla lighten things up a bit on the palate, but turn a bit thin on the finish. A successful followup to the winery`s single-vineyard bottlings, this is a medium-bodied, fairly expressive white, offering a wealth of apple and nectarine sensations over a focused, lively, floral character. The finish is clean and refreshing. The Fernão Pires is the winery`s vineyard designate, and gives it a very broad and textural profile.
Wine experts say this White wine shows the qualities of Oregon Pinot quality. The cool, coastal climate makes it dry, crisp and delicate, yet rich and sophisticated. The pineapple and spicy kiwi flavors are tangy and lively, but not so heavy you want to drink it now. Give it a few years, or for 3–4 years. There is an excellent intensity to this Amarone. It gives the wine weight and richness, as well as exotic intensity from the local vineyards. There is the potential of the fruit, the black raspberry, the black currant flavors; but the wine also seems to have a layer of tannins that does not want to open up. Give it six years to develop fully. Estranged by wood, this 100% varietal wine is aromatic, herbal and tannic, with a mineral edge to the otherwise fleshy texture. There is also a chalky, chalky feel on the aftertaste, which seems to have masked the fruit.
