Wine experts say this White wine delivers. It`s clean and crisp in acidity, with lemon and apple flavors. Just off-dry, with a little oak, it`s doing a pretty good job of balancing its sweet tangerine and mango fruit. Tastes a little sweet, with sugary flavors of apricots, peaches, pears, vanilla and buttered toast, with a streak of butterscotch. Juicy in strawberry and raspberry, this full-bodied Pinot offers plenty of deliciousness, with texture and a light pepper edge that adds interest. The acidity is clean and pleasant. This is a lean, austere wine, with tight, tough tannins. There`s a streak of nutmeg that finishes the wine, but it`s already tired and astringent. Too sweet by far, like honeyed juice in a big sugar wine. The flavors are like an old movie, with candied orange and bitter orange.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s dry, but rich, creamy, finely balanced, and lightly oaked. The flavors are oaky, but not over the top, of wild strawberry, black cherry, pomegranate and cola. It finishes with a lightly chalky feel. This is the winery`s estate-grown Pinot, entirely from the estate vineyard. Stunning aromas of rose water, cocoa, earthy berry fruits, spice and a touch of iron-rich earth are followed by refined, silky raspberry/cherry flavors with a pleasing chalky feel. The refined all-around character is exceptional. So bright in color, so balanced, so seductive. The whole is cajon and red cherry red fruit, with a streak of lavender. Relatively full, with fine acids and silky tannins, the wine combines magnificently in flavor, supple mouthfeel and long, lingering finish.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s presented. The structure is in fine balance, and there`s some alcoholic heat on the midpalate, but the flavors are of cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate, cloves, pepper and smoky vanilla. The wine is technically dry, and it tastes good, but clumsy. The pineapple and peach fruit is all but buried in a meandering mélange of sweet herb and astringent tannins. Those layers never quite balance, resulting in a wine that`s fast approaching its goal, but lacks the delicacy that the winery`s other 2010s wines can achieve. Initially, this is a lovely, moderately aromatic wine, with notes of lychee, honey, orange marmalade and spice. It`s medium bodied, with a crisp, refreshing quality that is pleasing, but where`s the outrageously sweet focus and definition here? Drink now.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s presented. The aromas of green apple, grapefruit and flowers set up a creamy palate with good acidity and full flavors of green apple, lemon and undercooked spices. Kahlua makes up the backbone upon which all this wine is based; the finish brings a final white pepper note. Black cherry, cola and Dr Pepper flavors mark this Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend that`s more fruity than structured. It has sweet tannins, which are still pronounced, and the cherry flavors are swathed in smoky oak and firm acidity. With soft licorice and cedar, it can be drunk now. Round, soft and approachable now, this saturated Aglianico offers sweet notes of cherries, blackberry jam, mocha and toasty oak. The wine is firm and very tannic, and it presents in the mouth in the most elegant possible ways.
