Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and ripe peach. Omniwines Distribution, L.A. This is very pink, very fresh, with very light fruit, accompanied by an elegant, peppery edge. It`s a wine that is almost ready to drink, but it will be better in 2015. Melon, peach and a touch of vanilla lighten things up a bit on the palate, but turn a bit thin on the finish. A successful followup to the winery`s single-vineyard bottlings, this is a medium-bodied, fairly expressive white, offering a wealth of apple and nectarine sensations over a focused, lively, floral character. The finish is clean and refreshing. The Fernão Pires is the winery`s vineyard designate, and gives it a very broad and textural profile.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s crisp in acidity and elegantly structured, with exotic, sunny peach, apricot, melon and spice flavors. Inky-ruby in color, with cassis and blackberry aromas, this New World wine feels chunky and grabby. Flavors of blackberry and cassis are good yet basic, while a mild, slightly green tasting finish is good but not necessarily a bad wine. This New World (or Oriental, as the name suggests) wine is clearly Simone`s best appomé to date. As light and bright as a churchyard blend, it`s ripe and as fresh as possible. Flavors of peach, lime and Asian pear are made to suggest summer drink. too big for Garnacha, and thus wholly over-the-top wines, with heavy flavors of Port-like jam, spice and cherry liqueur.
Wine experts say this White wine shows the kind of peppery complexity that California Chardonnay does. It opens with a fresh bouquet of citrus and grapefruit followed by a brisk, succulent balance of body and acid. The finish is crisp and refreshing. Powerful scents of pressed apple, candle wax and candle wax balsam lift out of the glass. The round, concentrated palate offers tart green apple, white peach, lime and energizing mineral notes alongside crisp acidity. Aromas of vanilla, baking spice and mature peach follow through to the warm, lightly baked palate. It has a nice, smooth feel that ends on a note of peach. (For the Alsatian variety, this is very pure in the Cahors, showing rich, ripe black fruit, oodles of spice and toast, and a lingering touch of smoke. The contrast with the acidity is great, making it refreshing now and a good choice for warm red meat.
