Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s shown. It`s crisp in acidity, with ripe flavors of citrus, exotic fruit, green apple and sweet oak. So easy to like, yet richly textured. The first vineyard-designated Chardonnay in the Folly Classic, Paige 2003 shows lots of sunny Clare Valley fruit, loaded with peaches, pears, Meyer lemons, limes, beeswax and hints of apricots. The depth and complexity of the fruit are detailed with hints of honeysuckle, wet earth and hints of new French oak, and the finish is dry and crisp. Lively and fresh, but with that extraicum of dimension that comes from high-quality vineyards. This is the winery`s best Chardonnay in years.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as promised, with aromas of apricot, pineapple and ripe peach. Omniwines Distribution, which owns the producer, has been somewhat reluctant to release new oak onto the market, but the fruit is appealing. A touch of honey and nettle plays on the nose. The palate, however, adds brightness and sizzling citrus notes to this very refreshing, zesty Riesling. Off dry in style, it finishes with a long, grippy, zesty lemon flavor. This is a fragrant, brightly perfumed wine. It has delicious ripe strawberry flavors, along with a very spicy, fruity character. There is a tangy, green aftertaste. This, yet somewhat simple, blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot has a heady, internationally-styled aroma, and tastes fruity.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s presented. The aromas of cocoa, vanilla, yellow fruit, dried spices and graphite just make the slightest sense. The flavors are textured and full, with the acids fairly sharp. Drink now. An elegant, focused wine, this is not a varietal by any measure, and exhibits a Chablis-like refinement. It`s light and silky, and the citrus, currant, raspberry, mocha and sandalwood flavors are exceptional. With a fine, mouthfeel, this provides lots of pleasure. Drink now, but not too cold. This is a lean, earthy wine, with a light prune flavor and light spice character. The finish provides a touch of crocheted chocolate. This is a shy nose about orange rind and ripe peach. The palate is a bit shy, with fresh lemon and tart apple notes.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as it`s presented. It starts off with strong floral aromas, then comes huge Gigantic overtones that dominate the palate. Firmly tannic in the mouth, the oak is overwhelming, which gives the wine a sandpapery taste. Finishes chocolaty and ripe. Very nice from an extreme coastal Pinot Noir. Very ripe, rich in fruits, sweet, even over all blackberry and cherry jam, soft in the mouth. There are some problems, but not too much. Drink now. Good, rich, oaky Cabernet. It`s a little sweet, showing blackberries, cherries and currants, with a smoky, flabby coating of sweet oak. The tannins are refined and there`s a fine streak of minerality. The name of this wine doesn`t lie; it`s a showy, jammy, sweet old-fashioned Viognier.
