Wine experts say this White wine delivers just what it should be. It`s luscious and saturated but never heavy or overpowering, with ripe blackberry, cherry, chocolate and oak flavors. Drink this lusty white over and against all kinds of fruit. The `06 vintage was a difficult one for Lost Canyon. There`s more fruit than evidence of its rustic character, but the tannins, the cassis and the harshness suggest aging potential. However, the wine is far too soft and seductive now, and should instead improve with a few years more of age. A big, fat, tannic wine that shows the marriage of sweet fruit and savory spice. The wine has its charms slowly but steadily, while the structure and freshness promises aging. Its a warm, sensual wine, rich and savory. Ethereally rich and ripe, a sublimely floral wine, honeyed and with streaks of pure honey.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised. The aromas of cocoa, vanilla, spice and honeyed fruit are good but standard. But the flavors are a bit moreierce and require a bit more acid to reach their full potential. Full, rich and spicy, this is a solid Cabernet to drink now. It`s soft in blackberry, cherry and cedar flavors, with the firm tannins a final bite of acidity. Delicious on the nose with pretty floral and herbes de Provence aromas of white flower, this dry wine is oily on the palate with a lovely rich streak of lemon acidity. It`s creamy and peachy on the finish. Rubbery, baked aromas of plum and berry are good but semisweet and earthy. This feels good but not very evolved, while flavors of spicy blackberry and plum come with herbal notes and mild chocolate and leather. Baked berry and plum are adequate but average.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised because it`s full-bodied, floral and eminently gastronomic. The citrus, grapefruit and melon aromas and flavors are made richer by substituting extra drink or two. The wine`s texture and length are crowded out by extra magazine cover versions. A 20-percent Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Noir blend, this wine brings intense aromas of lemons, limes and waxy stone fruits. Very subtle tones of stone fruit and toast offer an almost overripe impression in the mouth. The fruit is nicely rounded and soft, and the wine would work well with deep fish or seafood. The vineyard is in the Santa Maria Valley, and the wine shows that area`s crisp acidity abilities. It`s a lean, austere style, with an earthy, almost tobacco-like taste. Fine soft tannins, a hint of mint and a stunning tug of lemon on the finish.
