Wine experts say this White wine is indeed Craggy. A blend of reds from vineyards such as Bosc pear and Roussanne, it offers aromas of waxy melon, stone fruit, green melon and sweet flowers. The palate has a creamy texture with a touch of sweetness and bright acidity. Pair it with food to see it at its best. Each Blaufränkisch has something to announce. First is the lavender, potpourri, violet, black currant, licorice and sandalwood aromas. You`ll also recognize the alcohol and the heat of evident alcohol on the palate. Overall this wine is jammy, with three years of aging potential. Winemaker Markus Niggli is making remarkable whites from unusual, hard-to-find grapes, and this white shows classic Zin class. Extended barrel aging in French oak, the wine blends fig, quince and leesy on the finish.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised. It`s clean and crisp in acidity, with lemon, lime and gooseberry flavors. Distinguished and sweet, this Pinot Noir-based white wine has a vividly refreshing finish. Rounded, oily and soft, but intense and well-balanced, this dry wine has an elegant, pedigreed texture, good concentration and loads of charm. It seems to speak to a fair amount of winemaking more than to most. There are mountain-concentrated and mountain-fruit scents on the nose, followed by lots of peppery spice and earthy tones on the nose. Medium-bodied and enjoyable, the palate shows plenty of peppery spice, and has a refreshing aspect to it with pretty red currant acidity.
Wine experts say this White wine delivers as advertised at affordable prices. It`s dry and crisp in acidity, with pleasant citrus, pear, green apple and spice flavors. Feels chunky and easy, with a clean, crisp finish. This sparkling wine shows how. The blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. It`s muscular, chunky and ripe, with blackberry, black currant, fig and licorice flavors. Could be a little drier, but it`s a big, ripe, cellar-worthy wine. Brandborg always produces fine Pinot Noir. This latest vintage is, as always, a breath of fresh air away from the generally better 2007 version. The fruit appears crisper and further ahead of the tannins, which are still showing some development.
